Once again an enjoyable holiday organised by Maureen Arrowsmith.
Day 1: Journey North
On our way to our hotel, Salmesbury Hotel, we had a stop at Wightwick Manor, a National Trust property. It is a Victorian manor house, built in 1893 and located on Wightwick Bank, Wolverhampton in the West Midlands. It is one of the few surviving examples of a house built and furnished under the influence of the Arts and Crafts movement. In fact, it is home to one of the largest collections of Pre-Raphaelite paintings outside London.
