Family Picnic Prom at Leeds Castle (25/06/06)

Families gathered under a cloudy sky for the annual Leeds Castle Family Picnic Prom. Luckily the rain held off and it was warm enough for T-shirts. Picnics were spread out and the children tucked in. The narrator was none other than Henry VIII, who is a frequent visitor to his castle. The music in the first half included the ‘Teddy Bears’ Picnic’, which was very appropriate as the two Leeds Castle Teddy Bears put in an appearance during the interval. The concert ended with ‘Pomp and Circumstance March No 1’ with much applause and flag waving by the young audience.
