Our Garden – October 2006

October was much warmer than normal, although we had more than our usual amount of rain – very welcome in this drought ridden year. The dahlias put on a fantastic show throughout the year, there was an abundance of fruit (apples, pears and autumn raspberries) and many flowers thought that spring had arrived and started to flower. By the end of the month the autumn colours were beginning to appear. The Virginia creeper and Boston ivy on the east side of the house put on a spectacular show.
