Santa’s Grotto and Pantomime at Leeds Castle (December 2006)

The Events department organised an enjoyable programme in the Maiden’s Tower over the Christmas holidays for the younger visitors to the castle. They could visit Santa in his grotto, tell him what they wanted for Christmas and (if they had been good) receive a small present from him. In addition a professional acting company gave 4 potted performances a day of Peter Pan (changed to Treasure Island for the few days after Christmas). Dallas had, as usual, created a spectacular set for the grotto, which led through the enchanted forest to Santa sitting in his house in front of his fire. Santa’s little helpers were on hand to make sure that everything ran smoothly.
