Day 8: Home journey
Sunday, the day of our departure. We packed the car the previous evening so we could have a leisurely breakfast and take the last few pictures before our departure.
The journey back was uneventful and we arrived home still in daylight.

The Houptmanns’ house is surrounded by tall trees. This is all you see of it as you come from the south, the valley below.
View south from the terrace
Panning slightly further from the terrace towards the southeast
View of the forest from the end of the terrace
View of the forest towards the east from the garden
The same view of the forest as in the previous picture but from somewhat further down

The 'house' where the caravan will ‘live’
Fipps is saying goodbye to us as we depart
Hello, white cliffs of Dover!
Well done, old boy! Not bad for a 21 year old! We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our friends, Rosemarie and Frieder, for putting us up and putting up with us.
