The Latest attraction at Leeds Castle is the HiFlyer, a static tethered balloon that rises to 400 feet above the ground. During a break in the jousting tournament I was able to take the opportunity of a ride. On a sunny afternoon we took off with much trepidation from some of my fellow travellers, who soon began to enjoy the experience. The view from 400 feet above ground is spectacular and well worth any previous angst. It is possible to move around in the cage and I was able to take some photographs of the castle and surrounding countryside.
You can see some pictures of the Jousting and the Giants’ Wedding on the following pages.
