Every so often, usually when wine stocks are running low, we have the urge to take a day trip to France with our friends Terry and Su Cleaton. Of course, our excursion always involves a nice meal. As Su is our French speaker we leave all the choosing and organisation of a restaurant to her. She always finds something interesting and this time was no exception.
From the ferry we drove straight to La Ferme du Vert in Wierre Effroy, which is not far from Boulogne. After a quick look around the farmyard we went on a short drive in the country. We stopped in a small village and visited the church before continuing to Licques, where we were a bit disappointed in an old monastery but were able to take some photos in a nearby cattle market. From there it was off to the supermarket and then home.
