A visit from the Kent Air Ambulance

It was a sunny afternoon and I was busy photographing some of the flowers in my garden when a loud noise from above made me instantly look up. Hovering almost over my head was the Kent Air Ambulance. After a few moments I saw it descending. I rushed out of the house, camera in hand, to join a crowd of onlookers who had gathered to watch the helicopter land on our local Hook Green. I soon learnt that there had been an accident involving a motorcyclist just a short distance along the road. We were relieved to hear that the patient had received a battering but was very lucky not to have been seriously injured. The ambulance team soon returned to their craft and a few minutes later took off.
