Around 5800 people visited the Food and Drinks Festival at Leeds Castle. It would have been more but for the appalling weather on Sunday. The visitors made the most of it and on Saturday, in spite of the wind, some even dared to sit at the tables that had been supplied on the Cedar Lawn. Many of the stallholders seemed to be doing good business. Of course there were exceptions. Who wants to eat an ice cream in blustery or wet weather? The downpour on Sunday really dampened the spirits but the two musicians did their best to keep the crowds entertained.
