The Jousting Tournament
The medieval knights returned to Leeds Castle after a successful appearance last year. Their colourful costumes, agile horses and daring deeds enthralled audiences for six consecutive days. The backdrop of the castle was a fitting venue for skilful horsemanship. The weather forecast promised a lot of rain but as usual it was wrong as after the first two days, when some rain arrived, the last four days were perfect for a family day out. The arena was split into two sides: red and blue. The audience were asked to cheer on their side according to the colour of the flags in their area. Sometimes the red knights won and sometimes the blue!
