When I (George) phoned up Michael White about our LAN problem he mentioned that he would be spending his weekend at the Wrotham Classic Rally. I was wondering whether the old steam engines now use computers but he assured me that he was just helping out with the organization.
As on Sunday morning there was lovely warm sunshine we decided to check on him, to see whether he was working as industriously as he claimed to do. Unfortunately we missed him: probably absconded to the beer tent.
Apart from the many interesting old machines – some bringing back memories – there was also a car boot sale specializing in parts for ancient machinery.
We dedicate this page to Mário, who would have hugely enjoyed the experience. Perhaps another time!
