Roger and Ingrid invited us for an excursion, together with Sandra and Michael, to Leonardslee near Horsham in Sussex. We went on the very best possible day of the year. The weather was warm with wall-to-wall sunshine and the gardens, which specialise in rhododendrons and azaleas, were at their peak of perfection. We had a very enjoyable walk round before returning to Ingrid and Roger’s house, where we sat in the garden for a meal. This was followed by a walk in Worth Park, which is literally on their doorstep as we reached it through a private gate in their back garden. It was a fantastic day out and many thanks to Ingrid and Roger for organising it.
