The weather was dull but at least it was not raining for the Meopham village fête, held on Judson’s recreation ground. I paid a quick visit as the fête did not open until midday and we were due at an 80th birthday party at 12:30. By the time I left visitors were starting to arrive, so I hope the fête was successful.
