Our Garden – February 2009

Temperatures plummeted at the beginning of the month and on some days we were experiencing -10°C. On the 2nd February we awoke to a big shock. The ground was covered by snow. There was so much of it that the roads came to a standstill and even the trains were not running for two days. This put paid to our plans to visit friends in London for a few days. The snow finally disappeared by the middle of the month and we were treated to a few days of sunshine. Finally, on the 21st and rather belatedly, we were able to do the first jobs in the garden. At least the last week stayed dry.
