Our Garden – March 2009

March was a very mixed month in the garden. Many plants were late in appearing because February had been colder than we have recently been used to. The beginning of the month was warm and the birds started to get amorous, the robins and tits taking advantage of our two nesting boxes. The blackbirds built a nest in the dry under our pergola. All these efforts were suddenly abandoned when a cold and wet spell arrived. The last few days saw a return to a sunnier and warmer clime.
