The Beach
The hotel is directly on the beach. Before reaching the sea it is necessary to negotiate a few low sand dunes. These are scattered with sparse vegetation, mainly ‘espargos’, a form of asparagus. By turning left on the beach it is a 20-minute walk along the beach to the town of Santa Maria. In the other direction there is a small headland, a lighthouse and beyond that the massive Thomson Riu hotel complex. There are sandy beaches as far as the eye can see.
