Hotel Crioula and Grounds

The hotel and gardens cover a large area and are adjacent to the beach. With only 240 rooms it is one of the smaller hotels in the area and it was certainly nowhere full during our stay. We were always greeted with smiles and all the staff were very courteous. The majority of the guests were Italian (it was an Italian hotel) but this was not a problem for us as everyone had at least a smattering of English and George was able to practice his Italian. We had intended this as a relaxing holiday and there was plenty of opportunity to do just that. There is a large salt-water pool, surrounded by plenty of sun beds with a bar in the middle of the pool for thirsty swimmers. Those a bit more adventurous could step directly from the hotel onto the beach and have a go in the sea. The gardens are well tended. Whilst we were there the workers were always busy weeding or watering the plants.
