Day 8: Aschaffenburg – Day of Rest
This was our last day and was meant as a relaxing day before we set off on our journey home. We also needed to pack the car, not an easy job with all the wine we had bought. Frieder and Rosemarie invited us to the restaurant ‘Rückersbacher Schlucht’ for lunch. Afterwards, whilst Frieder and George drove home, Rosemarie, Fipps and I walked back through the forest. After a rest we then set about starting to pack the car.

A forest slug I am glad I do not have in my garden
Fipps only likes drinking from muddy puddles.
His thirst is quenched.
Back home Frieder takes a nap in his hammock.
