Frieder and Rosemarie visited us for a few days and were lucky to have dry, sunny but cool weather. We were able to have several excursions with them before they left for Devon. Our first visit was on the Sunday to Greenwich, where we first had a walk through the park before looking at the Observatory at the top of the hill. Then it was down to the town to look for some lunch before visiting the Royal Naval College chapel and then the long trek back to the top of the hill.
The following day we made our way to the south coast, stopping at Winchelsea, Dymchurch and Hythe. It was very blustery on the seafront.
On their last full day with us we went to Broadstairs where – after a quick and windy walk along the seafront – we repaired to the comfort of the Tartar Frigate for lunch.
