June started off colder than it should have been but on the 20th of the month there was a big change and we were treated to sunshine and temperatures above average. This gave a real spurt to the plants in the garden and by the end of the month the garden was at its best. As well as the flowers, the apples, pears and vegetables look like supplying a bumper crop this year.
