Flowers that would normally have been out in March were waiting for warmer and sunnier weather. Snowdrops, which are normally over by the end of February, were still flowering at the end of March. A couple of days of sunshine did bring out bumblebees, butterflies and ladybirds but they soon realised their mistake.
