Having missed a few walks because of ill health, I asked Lin if she would join me on a walk at Cliffe. We started at the RSPB reserve, Cliffe Pools, where we had hoped to see plenty of birds. On that score we were disappointed as there were not many about. We walked to Higham Bight, where we saw Cliffe Fort, the Hans Egede shipwreck and the remains of a Maunsell fort. We enjoyed the walk and even managed to pick some blackberries to take home.
