A farewell evening had been organised for the five unfortunate guides who were leaving at the end of March. They were Joe Ennis, Lesley Alexander, Ann Mercer, Carol Philpott and myself. All of us were reluctant leavers but unable to sign up to the new working conditions.
Our thanks to the organisers, Ann Cross and Sue Foulger, for making it an enjoyable evening and for giving us the chance to say goodbye to a great team of colleagues.
