Mosta — From Rabat we journeyed north to Mosta, where the Church of St Mary’s impressive dome is one of the largest standing unsupported domes in Europe.
Botanic Gardens of San Anton — The San Anton Gardens are at Attard. The Palace and gardens were the official residence of British Governors and are now the residence of the Maltese President. Some of the trees in the garden are more than 300 years old.
The church took a direct hit from a German bomb during WWII but it failed to explode. The picture shows a replica of the bomb in the sacristy.
