After four days of excursions we all needed a rest and so we had a day to relax. I spent the morning looking at the Dolmen stones, which have given the name to the hotel and spending some time on the hotel’s private beach reading. I then took a stroll along the coast road towards Bugibba. Luckily I was only a few yards from arriving back at the hotel when there was another of the quick, short cloudbursts that we had experienced. A drink party in Maureen and George’s room in the late afternoon allowed us to look at Grace’s panoramic photos of Valletta Harbour, probably taken in the 1930s.
