The Worshipful Company of Bakers

Ladies’ Luncheon, 5th May 2011

I was invited by Glenda to join her at a Ladies’ Luncheon at Bakers Hall. Brian, her husband, is a member of The Worshipful Company of Bakers. Bakers Hall, where the function took place, was newly built after being destroyed in WWII. The new Hall has three stained glass windows by John Piper, depicting the Great Fire of London in 1666, which started in a bakery. We were greeted in the foyer with a glass of champagne before moving into the Hall for luncheon. The food and drink were excellent and plentiful. Many thanks to Glenda and Brian for giving me the chance to take part.
