October was another disaster month following on a year of below average sun and far too much rain. Our fruit harvest this year was almost non-existent, the tomatoes all succumbed to blight and the grapes failed to ripen. The only fruit to do well was the raspberries, much to the delight of the neighbours, who were kept well supplied.
