Wednesday: Dartmouth Steam Railway, Dartington Summer School Concert
|Eileen was still busy with her course and George wanted to sort out some problems with her laptop so Patrick and I decided on an excursion on the Dartmouth Steam Railway. We parked the car in Totnes and then took the bus to Paignton, where we boarded the steam train bound for Kingswear. By the time we arrived at Paignton it was raining and continued to do so for the outward journey, although the sun came out for our return trip, when we decided to pay the supplement and travel first class in the 'Devon Belle' observation car. We both agreed it was worth the small extra charge.|
On this particular evening we had tickets for 'Gut Zu Blasen - Music in Renaissance Towns and Cities'. To read the programme title page of the very enjoyable concert at Dartington click the thumbnail on the right.
