South Africa Day 2: Blyde River Canyon

Our second day involved a long coach drive from Johannesburg, north-east to our next base at Hazyview, near the Kruger National Park. On the way we were treated to a short stop at the Blyde River Canyon, which forms the northern part of the Drakensberg escarpment. The first viewpoint was at the Three Rondavels, so called because they resemble traditional huts with thatched roofs. There were plenty of insects to admire.
