Visit to Oxford, 3rd June 2014

Another perfect visit organised by Maureen Arrowsmith. This time it was a day visit to Oxford, where we were to visit the Asmolean Museum and have a short talk by our President, Dr John Trethewey, on Pocahontas, the American Indian princess, whose cloak is on display in the Ashmolean Museum. We subsequently had time to wonder through Oxford on our own. Lin and I visited the botanic gardens, the colleges and wandered through the streets of Oxford before it was time to depart on our homeward journey.
