Our visit to Germany this year proved to be a very hot one, with temperatures reaching over 40°C (100°F).
Day 2: Grünau and the ‘Museumsnacht’
We started the holiday with a drive through Spessart with Frieder and Rosemarie, which ended at Grünau, where, after a walk along the lake and a walk through the woods, we had a delicious meal of trout caught from the lake.
That evening was set aside for the Aschaffenburg ‘Museumsnacht’ (museum night), an evening/night of open doors throughout the town, with plenty of music and entertainment. As usual, we met old friends at midnight for a glass (or two) of beer in the Pompejanum garden.
Day 3: Lazing
A Sunday and a day of rest!
Day 4: A look at PSI and Arriving at Trippsdrill Wildlife Park
The early morning was spent visiting Boschweg, George’s one time place of work. We were amazed to see that the Company had expanded enormously over the past 20 years. At least George was recognised by the receptionist.
We then drove to Trippsdrill Wildlife Park, where Rachel and Ramon had booked a tree house for 2 nights. We arrived a bit earlier than Rachel & Co so had a quick look in the wildlife park and watched a birds of prey demonstration.
