Day 2 – Casa Batllό
Another of Antoni Gaudi’s masterpieces, Casa Batllό was commissioned by Josep Batllό in 1906. It is known locally as ‘The House of Bones’ because it gives a skeletal impression of bones, especially on the exterior. It was created very much in the Art Nouveau style, popular at that time. On arrival we were handed a tablet each, which when pointed at various parts of the room, showed how the room had looked when the Batllό family lived there.
