We revisited one of our favourite cross-country haunts , Äkäslompolo in Finnish Lapland.
Situated near one of the higher fells in Finland, the 782m Ylläs tunturi, this area has been part of a Finnish National Park since the 1930s with 300 km of well-kept tracks. Cosy log fires warm the wooden refreshment huts which are strategically placed along the trails.
