Veronika and Friedel in Kent (03-06/10/2006)

Our Photos

Our friends, Veronika and Friedel Nöth from Aschaffenburg, Germany, visited us for a short break. A visit to Leeds Castle was a must. It was a lovely sunny day so that the walk through the woodland garden could be taken at leisure. The castle was a riot of colour as the ‘Autumn Gold’ flower festival was in full swing. We had time for a look round the gardens, aviary and maze before returning home. The evening was spent in a typical Kentish pub, ‘The Cock Inn’ at Luddesdown, where there was a good selection of beer to try. The following day was rather dismal. The first port of call was Rochester, with a visit to the cathedral and castle. We then made our way to Canterbury for another cathedral visit, a lunch of fish and chips and a quick look around the town before the rain set in.
