George will complain about my pictures this month, as I have none that show views of the garden. My excuse is that it was a very busy month. I was working at the castle on 1st and 2nd September and then on the 4th we set off on our journey to Hungary. A few days after arriving home I was in hospital for a minor operation, after which it was a few days before I was back to normal. Consequently our garden was rather neglected. Rain towards the end of the month, although welcome after a dry few weeks, did not give me the impetus to get out in the garden.
Hops. We have yet to find a way of brewing our own beer! (03/09/07)

Although most of our neighbours had a glut of apples this year, only the Worcester Permain produced a good crop. Some were left on the ground for the birds. (03/09/07)
