Our Garden – April 2008

April this year was a very miserable month. It rained almost every day and was so cold that we were not able to turn off the central heating. During the first week of the month we were also treated to 8 inches of snow – more than we have seen during a whole winter for many years. Thankfully it soon disappeared but not before it did do some damage to the plants, especially to the greengage tree. By the end of the month there was a slight improvement and our plants did their best to put on a good show.
