Our Garden – October 2008

This year October lived up to its name of the golden month. The plentiful rain over the summer months and lovely autumn sunshine meant that the autumn colours were especially brilliant this year. There was plenty of work to do in the garden and George was busy weeding, sweeping the leaves and picking apples. We have never had so many apples before but this was after last year when we saw no apples at all. The Bramleys were sorted and put into boxes ready for storing. They usually last until April of the following year.
