The 12 Days of Christmas at Leeds Castle

As an after Christmas quiz for the children each department at the castle was asked to create one of the 12 days of Christmas, which had been drawn from a hat. The contributions were spread about the castle and grounds.

Four calling birds:Gardens
Five golden rings:Guides and castle stewards
Six geese a-laying:Housekeeping and castle
Seven swans a-swimming:Retail
Eight maids a-milking:Stewards and ticket office
Nine ladies dancing:Marketing, commercial and education
Ten lords a-leaping: Accounts
Eleven pipers piping:Maintenance
Twelve drummers drumming:Aviary and golf

The winner voted for by the public was Accounts for Ten lords a-leaping followed in second place by the HR and the executive office for A partridge in a pear tree.
