Once George said he would go on holiday with me to tank up some winter sun, I quickly made a booking before he could change his mind. It was a cheap package all-inclusive deal so we did not quite know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised that everything had been arranged, including transport to our hotel from the airport. We could not fault the hotel, Gran Castillo part of the Dream hotel chain. Our room was very spacious, the grounds were well kept, the food was very good and abundant, the bar well stocked and the staff very pleasant and helpful.
DAY 1
The first day was a lazy one. George had his first and only swim as he found the water too cold. In fact, the weather was not as warm as we expected for the whole of the holiday and I certainly had not taken enough warm clothes with me. I did manage a walk along the cliff path to the local Marina, where I had a quick look-around.
DAY 2
The second day was spent at the hotel, just lazing about.
