Our Garden – June 2009

June finally showed us the first days of the promised hot summer. In spite of the shortage of rain – which meant that George and I were kept busy most evenings trying to get the vulnerable plants watered – most plants were soon showing signs of putting on a display. All the work that I had put into the vegetable garden this year was beginning to show fruit and some of the kohlrabi, courgettes and salad vegetables could be harvested. I was unable to take photos at the end of the month due to a malfunctioning camera.
