Leeds Castle Tulip Festival, April 2010

Once again the castle florist, Lorraine, managed to produce spectacular flower arrangements. This time it was for a tulip festival. Many of the flowers were grown on the estate and after the long winter it was touch and go whether they would be in bloom at the right time. Tulips are difficult to use as cut flowers and these would have to last for a week. The flowers were checked every day and replaced where necessary. I am sure that everyone enjoyed the show.
