At last the weather started to improve after the cold and wet winter. April was unusually dry and the sun did make an appearance so that gardening could finally start in earnest. The greenhouse was tidied as best as possible and seeds sown. Soon young plants were sprouting and needed transplanting into pots. As usual there were far too many tomato plants and the market among friends and colleagues was flooded. By the end of the month, when the temperature reached 20°C for a couple of days, we could finally have lunch in the garden.
