We had a very mixed bag of weather in May. On the whole it was dry, in fact too dry. However, it meant there were no excuses for not getting on with the many chores still waiting in the garden. The beginning of the month was also quite chilly with below average temperatures but then on 24th May we were treated to a one-day heat wave, when the temperature soared to the mid 20s (°C). The month finished on a cool note but with promises of warmer weather to come at the beginning of June.
