Our Garden – July 2011

After the warm and dry weather of April and May and the rain throughout June, our garden took off to a good start in July. Fruit and vegetables were in abundance this year. The greengage tree was laden with fruit and we were picking throughout the month. Every neighbour and friend was given as much fruit as they wanted and I was kept busy making jam and freezing. The beans too did very well. The only disappointing crop was the tomato but that might be due to the position. All in all, a good month for produce.
