May started dismal, wet and cold. The grass grew quickly in the rain but most of the other plants looked very miserable and soon lost the blossoms early so we will not be getting much fruit this year. However, the weather improved towards the end of the month, the temperature rose and we were able, at last, to sit in the garden to enjoy our lunch.
