On our last full day we retraced the bus ride we had taken on our first day. This time we were able to hop off. We were able to get a better view of the Belém Tower or the Tower of St Vincent. It is a fortified tower located in the civil parish of Santa Maria de Belém. We then made our way to the nearby Monument to the Discoveries. Then we had a walk through a park to the Jeronimos Monastery. Then it was back with the bus to Lisbon centre and the Chiado Square. We had little time on our last day as we had a plane to catch but there was just time to visit the Gulbenkian Gardens, which were an oasis in a busy city.
