Day 4: Ballachulish, Bridge of Orchy and Inveraray
Lin and I started the day with a walk to the village of Ballachulish, where we discovered a pretty small stream and a church, St Munda’s. This was followed by a scenic tour through Glencoe with a photo stop at Bridge of Orchy. From there we made our way through fantastic scenery to Inveraray Castle, where our guide awaited us. We were given a tour through part of the interior by a very knowledgeable and interesting guide before taking time to look around the gardens. Another scenic drive took us over Connel Bridge and to a stop in a lay-by, where a frantic lady rushed into the tearoom to put the kettle on. It transpired that they seldom see coaches. An early return to the hotel gave Lin and me time to have a walk to St John’s Church next to Loch Leven in order to look around the churchyard.
