South Africa Day 3 (part 2): Kruger National Park

The Lions

The highlight of the visit to the Kruger National Park was to find and photograph a pair of lions. We were pleased to have finally tracked them down but imagine our surprise when, once he was sure he had an attentive audience, the male lion mounted his wife. After a short rest they both retreated behind some bushes, only to make another attempt at mating. By the time the other vehicles had reached the site they had long disappeared.

The Highlight but not the End of the Safari

There were still a few more animals to see before we headed back to the hotel.
