The ‘Herzogenriedpark’ lies in the Neckarstadt part of Mannheim. It is a large park that dates back to the 14th century, although in its present form was created in the 1920s. I suggested a visit to a park and Rachel told me of a park very near to where she lives. So we made our way there for an afternoon. There was plenty to see and do, especially for smaller children. DG was quite happy to pull up grass and try to eat it but there were also friendly animals for him to get to know.
