Visit to Godinton and Willesborough Windmill
A visit to Godinton House and gardens with the Meopham Historical Society was the chance to meet with a friend, Val Newill, who was to be our guide in the house. Val did a good job of giving us an insight into the 600 years of history, not only from the people who had lived there, but also information on some of the interesting artefacts that can be seen in various rooms. After a lunch in the house, we had free time to explore the twelve acre garden, which is surrounded by parkland.
On leaving Godinton, we made our way to Willesborough Windmill where we had a quick look round before returning home.
